The Manchester cheap family cruises Grand Hyatt stands tall against the San Diego skyline.  The 40-story Harbor Tower was the first of two towers and opened in 1992 as part of a major redevelopment of the harbor cheap family cruises area. The second tower, the 33 story Seaport Tower, opened in 2003, making the Hyatt the largest hotel in southern California and the second largest in the state. The Property also boasts a 4 story building with a roof top pool that connects both towers. From the moment one arrives at the magnificent porte-cochere and lobby, it is clear that the Grand Hyatt is the embodiement of elegance and style.
The hotel was sold to Host Hotels Resorts in May of 2011, at which time new ownership began planning a major.  Digney York Associates was awarded the contract for the $20 million project, which began in April of 2012. Digney York was also responsible for the successful completion of renovations at the nearby Marriott Marquis Marina , also owned by Host Hotels.  That renovation included 1360 rooms and suites housed in two towers that were completed in two phases during the winters of 2010 and 2011.
Teaming up with Host Hotels Resorts on the project design is the firm WATG. WATG brings over 65 years of destination design experience. The scope of the Grand Hyatt project includes 1631 guest rooms with 78 suites, 47 ADA guest room conversions, and 62 guest corridors. The new concierge lounge will be a showcase, with state of the art equipment and a contemporary design that reflects the sophistication that Hyatt is known for. Located on the 33 rd   floor, it provides a panoramic view of the San Diego skyline as well as the Pacific coastline.  Once again, Digney York is working with Mark Allen Associates cheap family cruises . As the owner's representative, Mark Allen Associates works to ensure the project's progress and that the quality of work meets the high standards of Host Hotels.   On any given day there are over 150 tradesmen and laborers on the job.  Managing this work force, while being responsive to the needs of an operating hotel, is a challenge that must be met at all times. Successfully achieving scheduled completion dates reflects the Digney York team's professionalism and attention to detail. The project is scheduled to continue through spring of 2013.
