The Museums Alaska Board of Directors is committed to helping its members to take advantage of attending the Sitka Conference through travel scholarships. This initiative is made possible by generous sponsors and income from last year s meeting in Valdez.
Please review the application form carefully, and pay special attention to the requirements. Awards are made on the basis of demonstrated need and merit. It is a competitive process; neatness, clarity, and concise —yet substantial—answers count!
REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be current individual members of Museums Alaska (length of membership is a positive factor). The museum that they will represent at the conference must also be a current institutional member.
For all applicants, attendance at pre-conference workshops and events is optional, but may be included in the costs to be covered in the scholarship application. Attendees primarily attending Museums Alaska sessions will be given preference.
