Unfortunately it s a 3 player draft at the top so typical of the Cubs to land the 4th pick in a draft like this. I suspect that neither Beede nor Nola would be willing to sign under slot at #4 as both probably think (along with their agents) that is the right spot for them. I still like Nola with the 4th pick even if it costs slot money. He probably won t ever be an ace, but should move up the organization quickly and could develop into a #2.
I would take all 3, but it seems Kolek is a distant 3rd with the FO from many reports and that they would prefer an under slot deal for a college arm over taking Kolek. Aiken is gone for sure, but I think Rodon could fall to us.
