If we ve learned one thing on our inaugural journey on the Hot Rod Power Tour it s that the tour waits for no one. We learned this first hand yesterday after we had a very long 17 hour day of driving, attending the event, discovering a broken right rear coil spring, hunting down a replacement (thanks again to the folks at RideTech), and having to construct a makeshift garage in the Best Western parking lot. With roughly five hours of sleep we were back at it early in the morning among a multitude of classic cars traveling down the country car rentals vancouver bc side.
Before we hit the interstate we decided to make a quick detour to the city of Crown Point to visit the Lake County Historic Courthouse. Just wait to you see our Go Pro footage from this historic venue!
Our next stop was the Isle Casino Hotel in Bettendorf, Iowa. The tour route included a planned stop at Heidts for lunch at their facilities near Chicago. However, many opted to forgo free lunch in exchange for not dealing with the early morning traffic.  We chose to do the same and made quick work down I-80 enroute to Bettendorf. All in all, it was a very smooth trip, as the roster of custom components on our RK527 Mustang seemed to be settling in nicely. And, before we knew it, we were pulling into the casino to get our Long Hauler cards stamped.
Throughout the day participants continued to file in to the casino to the point where they started to park many of the visitiors in the grass behind the main parking area. Thousands car rentals vancouver bc of classics filled the massive car show and swarms of fans turned out to see some very rare rides. Even though it bottlenecked traffic, the single entrance to the casino provided folks with a great viewpoint to see their favorite metal pull into the parking area. And, with beautiful weather and plenty of gorgeous cars, there was no better car rentals vancouver bc place to spend the day!
