A New Orleans swamp tour is a great experience for young and old alike. There are so many interesting plants and animals to see that you can come out at any time of the year and be sure to see something new. When making your reservation, ask a staff member if you have any questions about what you can expect to see and how to prepare for your trip. Here are a few recommendations so you can enjoy the best experience possible.
Our tours last approximately two hours, to give you a good chance to see a wide variety of wildlife. Because all this time is spent out on the water, you can probably expect to get a little wet. Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting wet and that are designed to dry quickly. You may also want to bring a hat to keep out the sun, as well as a jacket on cooler days. Keep in mind that we’ll be moving quickly at times, so there will be a bit of a breeze.
The number one item to make sure you don’t forget is, of course, your camera! There will be many great photo opportunities along your trip, and you’ll want to bring the memories back home with you to share with family and friends. You may also want to bring sunscreen if you’re prone to getting burned, since you’ll be exposed to direct sunlight for a good part of the trip. During some seasons, you may also want to bring bug spray to keep away the mosquitoes. However, our visitors usually find that the boat moves fast enough to keep biting insects from being too much of a bother.
Our boats are completely open to the elements and don’t have a top, to give you the best possible view of the surrounding swamp. We have different sizes of boats, based business free home travel so you can go out with a large group of 20, or a more intimate tour with a handful of close friends. Because our airboats can travel at high speeds, we ask certain people based business free home travel to sit out the tour for their safety, such as pregnant women and children under five years old. However, most of our visitors find that the sun and speed add to the adventure and are able to thoroughly enjoy their time out on the water. If you have any questions about your New Orleans swamp tour , ask one of our staff members, and we’ll be happy to address any concerns you might have before your tour.
