Delta Skymiles isn't the most popular currency, but there are folks who are able to benefit from the program. We'll see about that in February, when it undergoes yet another devaluation. In the mean time, if you're trying to unload Skymiles but don't have enough for a redemption, here are a few ways you can top off your account:
Suntrust SkyMiles World Check Card. Sign up for a qualifying Suntrust checking account and you'll be eligible to pick up a Delta SkyMiles World Check Card , which earns 1 point per $1 on all spending (2 points on Delta purchases). The card offers 5,000 points after first spend and comes with a $75 annual fee. This is a great alternative if you can't qualify for a credit card.
Skymiles Business Check Card. If you have a business checking account, why not move it to Suntrust requirements to become a travel agent and earn miles on your check card purchases? Ink Plus is a great business card with generous benefits. Not only does this card currently have one of the highest sign-up requirements to become a travel agent bonuses on the market, but earning points is easy with generous 2x and 5x payouts in several daily spend categories.
Complimentary annual airport club lounge access makes up for the $95 annual fee, which is waived the first year. Overall, this is an excellent card that can help generate lots of Ultimate Rewards points, which can be transferred at a 1:1 ratio and easily redeemed with partners like United and Hyatt.
Hi. Don t even consider trying out Skymiles Shopping (SS). It takes 2-3 months to receive your miles, according the earning rules After that, I have been claiming my miles from SS about every two weeks for 4 months now, I succeeded ONCE and got over 100 miles after 6 months followed the purchase.
The customer support will first keep promising they will look at your case, later they will totally ignore requirements to become a travel agent you unless you tell them you will complain directly to Delta. And then they will ignore you once again. The only good thing about SS is plenty of SPAM in your e-mail requirements to become a travel agent box.
