Looking for a cheap hotel/motel in Kahului in late July for one night. Know about the Maui Beach Hotel ($269 not cheap) and Maui Seaside Hotel ($140). Those can't be the only two hotels in Kahului, right?
Many of us arrive OGG late. We drive on to our condos that night. Try Expedia Travelocity for a car/hotel package, you can combine for different number of days. I think you can find a hotel room in kihei and rental from a good rental agancy for the same price or less of your attempt a la carte
Check Costco travel for hotel and or car rental if you are a member of Costco. They waive the mandatory fee ($10-12 a day extra) for additional driver. We have used them any times. Not sure about cheap hotels though but car rentals are very very reasonable......
I'll second round the world airline tickets from australia www.discounthawaiicarrental.com We got a very good rate with them both on Oahu and Maui, and they didn't charge more for an extra driver. For us, Costco was more expensive, but do check there as well if you're a member.
