I have been getting your blogs since planning a trip to Costa Maya over spring break with Carnival D

The other morning, Tuesday, April 9, 2013, I got up to go to cruise ship port to work and checked and the 8am ship did not dock because it was so windy.  So I awaited the Norwegian cheap airline tickets Star to dock at 10am.  I did not have much to do so I figured I would go to the port and take some pictures of the Star attempting to dock..I went out on the pier and took my camera and awaited the Star to show to see if it could dock, so we could all work that day.  I spotted the Star in the distance cheap airline tickets and settled in to watch it attempt to dock.  The winds were very strong and I had some doubts if the Star could make it in.  I and some of the port  workers were on the pier looking and hoping it could make.  Well I watched as the Star, it is built like a tank, approached and passed the dock and kind of swerved and staring backing in like it was a semi-truck or something.  It swung way out and then proceeded to back into the port.  It is a fascinating scene to watch a big huge cruise ship trying to brave the winds and dock.  The whole time I was taking pictures and marveled at how the ship turned around and backed in the water like it was nothing.  I am told that the docking is done by GPS.  We all awaited holding our breaths, we had already lost one ship that day, and the Star could save the day.  Well finally the ship pulled up to the dock just like a BMW into a parking place, and they crew threw over the guide lines and the ship docked safely.  It was a sight I will never forget watching that big bucket ship move around in the high winds and dock safely.  Here are the pictures I took of this spectacular event.

Our cruise cheap airline tickets was cancelled due to mechanical problems so we never made it to Costa Maya. We were crushed. It was interesting to read Norwegian Star was able to dock in the high winds since one cruise ship couldn't make it in. So I have a question for you, if you don't mind. What cruise line has better percentages cheap airline tickets of making it into Costa Maya port, from your experience? We are looking into going on another cruise to get to Costa Maya and want to book with a cruise line that gives us better cheap airline tickets odds of actually making all of their ports of call. We have had a couple of experiences where we booked excursions cheap airline tickets to be told later they couldn't dock into the port due to high winds. I love you blog.
