With new luxury hotels maui family travel popping up all over the city, the challenge for old and new hotels is not only to fill rooms but also to get the property noticed.  The Ritz,  Wellesley and Bulgari are three hotels getting themselves noticed and not in a good way.  These hotels have adopted a haughty maui family travel air and believe they don t need to offer value or gimmicks.
maui family travel The Bulgari Hotel which opens early next year in Knightsbridge proclaimed in July that it expects no competition in the luxury market .  The hotel will contain only deluxe suites maui family travel no standard rooms at this inn.  It will also have a restaurant, ballroom, gym, 25 metre pool and conservatory.  Not only do they think they ll have no competitors, they re also confident the hotel will be the place for Londoners to see and be seen.
Quite a statement, especially given that another yet-to-be-built hotel The Wellesley - is claiming it will be the only six star hotel in London (a star rating class it decided to unilaterally invent!) and it hasn t even opened yet.  Like the Bulgari London, it will be suites only including one of  London s biggest suites .  The hotel is due to open in November 2012 and will also be in Knightsbridge so it looks like the Bulgari has already found its first competitor , at least in the market for making outlandish claims!
Whilst over at The Ritz, the hotel is so confident guests will want to stay there without the need of free extras, they now charge £26 per day for WiFi to guests - that s right, an extortionate £26.  With free WiFi standard in more and more (often much cheaper) London hotels it s extraordinary that people are actually willing to pay £26 for net access!
Going back to the bold claims of the yet-to-be-built luxury hotels, we re keen to see what will happen once the Wellesley and Bulgari are up and running our eyes will be peeled on what their guests think.
Perhaps these snobby hotels could take a leaf out of the book of Dean Street Townhouse: a new hotel which managed to lowball with low-key marketing  and overdeliver where it matters in pleasing its guests.
