My wife and I are going on a little trip next month, and are in need of a rental car.  Naturally I want to keep the bill as low as possible, so I compared prices for a five day rental between all the major car rental companies. Hertz won that competition weighing in with a cost of about $206 for five days of unlimited miles with a full sized car.

Try AutoSlash.com. I may need a car rental in a month as well. I have set up a reservation through AutoSlash.com that I can cancel if they are I am able to find the reservation cheaper than they can. As I get closer car rental maui to the dates, I will check out Hotwire s Hot Rate and if it s something that I would like to pursue, I ll try to bid a little lower on Priceline.
I recently car rental maui needed a car for Florida. A week before I was due to travel I kept looking each day at rates. They continued to go down. I also found a promo code with Sam s club that gave me another reduction. I ended up with a really, really low rental.
This just goes to show that if people are will to spend a few extra minutes and if they are paying attention, they can get a better deal on things like rental cars and other car related expenses. Always shop around!

@Teresa thanks for the tip! I m a little wary, however, car rental maui that if I don t lock into a rental now that the price will go up if I can t get something through one of those sites. Definitely worth checking out though!

I always thought the price went up as the day approaches (which actually seems counter intuitive to me I would think, as you mentioned that the price would go down as they look to rent the car for whatever car rental maui price they can get). I d be a little worried that they wouldn t have a car available for me do you ever run into the situation where they have no cars left?
