Escape From Alcatraz triathlon is a bucket list race, involving a dive off the San Francisco Belle into the cold water and swimming the 1.5miles from Alcatraz Island back to shore and the St. Francis Yacht Club. A half mile run takes athletes round the world airline ticket to T1.
Jumping on the bikes, it s a 18mile out and back course, heading out towards round the world airline ticket the Golden Gate Bridge, up through the Presidio, up to Palace of the Legion of Honour, then down the hill to Seal Rock Drive. From there it s into the Golden Gate Park for a loop before returning the same way you came all the way back to T2.

2. Perhaps the most famous “Escape from Alcatraz” was that of Frank Lee Morris, who was the brilliant mastermind of one of the most legendary prison escapes in history. Morris and two others escaped from Alcatraz on June 11, 1962, and they were never to be seen again.
