Hello Everyone, Happy Tuesday! Can you believe we actually do not need a passport today? I m taking ana hotel tokyo you along with me from Los Angeles to San Francisco, CA! Three friends I took a road trip to San Francisco, CA for a conference with some of the most creative tech minds of today! While the event was super fun, including life-size video games the most amazing parties, I made time to tour San Francisco, starting with Alcatraz. My Brazilian friend I left the event briefly booked the very much talked about Alcatraz tour. Sit back, relax come with me inside of the infamous, Alcatraz!
First up, we all checked into our hotel rooms! Where does a girl who enjoys writing, reading and has a bit of a love affair with books stay while in San Francisco? Hotel Mark Twain, of course! Haha! I found these colorful murals on the wall of the hotel lobby! The secret of getting ahead is getting started! - Mark Twain
We checked into 3 separate rooms, the one above is my room, #603! My friends were next door and we saw an additional locked door on the wall, opened it and it lead to each others room, pretty funny when we found this out even easier access to my friends slumber party, sort of! Haha!
We took a cab from our hotel to meet up with Alcatraz Cruises. Popular tour, right? So many people! The more the merrier, right? ana hotel tokyo There were travelers from all over the world! Be sure to book this tour in advance as it is often sold out!
Once we found a place to stand on the cruise, my friend I were invited into this area with the most incredible view! Too sweet and very kind of one of the crew member of course we took photos sitting in the chair pretending to steer fun times! We must free ourselves of the hope that the sea will ever rest. We must learn to sail in high winds. -Aristotle Onassis
We were all given headphones for the audio tour narrated by different voices and at some points narrated by some of the inmates, a pretty wild experience and quite authentic, I might add! It was crazy to see so many actual cells, such tight quarters and gritty.
I was interested in seeing the former inmates ana hotel tokyo rooms. They clearly had big dreams, some were quite talented, highly creative and well-read .I guess they had to stay entertained somehow and had plenty of time alone. Trust yourself, then you will know how to live! -Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Stepping into an actual tiny prison cell was quite the unusual experience; so confined exposed never an ideal situation. Each B C cell block was 5ft by 9ft oh my! You could easily extend your arms and touch both walls pretty crazy! And yes, we took pictures of ourselves doing this!
A peek into another prison cell, personalized by the inmate. I guess all the time alone confined to a tiny room invites ana hotel tokyo creativity to flourish as well as the inmates being incredibly well-read; what else could they do?
Naturally, I gravitated to the prison library, where I was informed that the inmates ana hotel tokyo read 75-100 books a year hot damn! Most people do not read that many books in their entire lives nor do they want to read; the inmates were incredibly well-read read some of the most notable authors, imagine that! Perhaps some of the criminal minds were reformed as well as well informed. Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and the wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers. - Charles William Eliot
To my surprise, there was an invite to meet a former inmate, Darwin ana hotel tokyo E. Coon , who had turned his life around. What an interesting opportunity to meet with him and talk for a bit. He seemed like a sweet, gentle guy very soft spoken. ana hotel tokyo Unfortunately, upon research , I found that he has passed as of 2011. I purchased his book as well as took a photo with the author. Upon reading his book, which read like an action-packed Hollywood movie, I saw that he was a man of many characters. While bank robbery was his vice, he appeared to be quite the man who was constantly genuinely addicted to love in his relationships and had quite a sense of humor. ana hotel tokyo Life has no limitations, except the ones you make! - Les Brown
I would highly recommend going on the Alcatraz Tour it s quite an eye-opening experience. And cheers to anyone in life who has ever turned ana hotel tokyo their life around! After all, anything is possible! (Applause!) Here are a few more interesting facts about Alcatraz , enjoy!
