Click photo to enlarge Silver vancouver hotel City Mayor James Marshall and his wife Mary were the first guests to check in to a newly remodeled room Wednesday vancouver hotel at the Silver City Holiday Inn Express. The room was just a sample of what the hotel plans to unveil later this year as it undergoes a nearly $2 million remodel and expansion, which will add 12 new rooms, and an outdoor swimming pool and give the hotel a sleek, new contemporary look.
The nearly $2 million dollar remodel and expansion will begin in October and feature 12 new rooms, an outdoor swimming pool with a grilling patio and a fire pit for stargazing and other cozy gatherings. Future plans include a fitness room expansion, a bigger and brighter breakfast bar, and a more accessible business center. The hotel is also adding an ADA-compliant, wheelchair-accessible suite.
As part of the total remodel, each guest room will feature sleek new re-tiled entryways, smart new furniture, new carpet, sparkling new bathtubs and fresh tile in the showers, plus upgraded appliances.
The new contemporary style will be the backdrop for guest room artwork by local photographers Jay Hemphill and Mark Erickson. Each room will have an earth-toned neutral palette accented with cool blues and greens, with wood and metallic fixtures.
On Wednesday, Silver City Mayor, James Marshall and his wife Mary were the first guests to check into the sample room that was remodeled last week. Owner Jill Olsen said guest are welcome to drop by and explore the new look, and talk with General Manager, Michelle, to learn more about the new amenities.
