Low-fare airline Ryanai r will temporarily cut back on its flights into Rygge airport at Moss, south of Oslo, while it ramps up its Italian routes. I have never flown with Ryanair. I don t want to. Today it is cheap to fly regardless of airline. If you can be flexible about when you fly. I have had bad experiences with Norwegian. having my flight cancelled to having to wait for two secutive flights with 3 hours difference each. Having planned auto cruise control to go home from Helsinki by 15.15 it is something different to go with the 21.5 flight. No more!
Finansavisen say today that SAS is making profit like hell righ now and will increase flights with between 20% and 30% during Christmas to meet demand. While the Ryanair stock has collapsed after several future result warnings, SAS is flying high , as Finansavisen say.
Hmm discussable, at least in my country they are indirectly subsidised by the regional government of Wallonia (luckily not mine) which basically pays all the running cost of the airport, while the airport in Brussels is private and has to charge airlines to cover its costs. And they have lost cases at EU courts relate to these issues. I am sure similar situations exist in other countries.
The same here in Norway. Both Rygge and Torp offers Ryanair no landing fee . The airport auto cruise control s cost is covered by a group of local governments. While Ryanair would have to pay a landing fee at Gardermoen, Oslo. After that EU no longer allowed Sweden to subsidize Karlstad Airport Ryanair disappeared
The most profitable? To what I know,is the US Spirit Airways is no 1, flying only from 5 destinations in the US. No 2 is Allgiant flying only the 4 most profitable days of the week . These two offer intensely focused efficiency . While Ryanair is just a mess flies a little here and a little there, argues with just about everybody; employees, politicians, authorities and passengers. US Spirit and Allgiant shows what it takes to become the most profitable . What is best for us passengers?
