From RideLust correspondent Captain Obvious reporting live in the field: rail cruise america Mazda is recalling 39,600 B-Series pick-up trucks for complications stemming from a faulty cruise control switch. According to the recall, which is essentially a carbon copy of the alert issued by Ford weeks ago , the cruise control switch is prone to deterioration and a subsequent fluid leak that could cause engine fires.
As mentioned the Ford recall rail cruise america earlier, the switches were manufactured by Texas Instruments and are apparently only defective in vehicles produced prior to December 5, 2002. Specifically, the B-Series models affected include all 1995-1997 MY as well as all 2001-2003 manufactured before the aforementioned Dec. 2 cut-off date.
