Hilton HHonors has now opened the registration for their first quarter 2013 Double Your HHonors promotion that I already wrote about couple of weeks ago. You can earn either double Hilton HHonors carnival cruise lines points or double airline miles during the promotion period. You can access Hilton's web page for this promotion here .
Note that you have to choose carnival cruise lines between earning double Hilton HHonors points or double airline miles during the promotional period. You cannot change your selection once you have registered, so you should choose wisely.
There is a rather long list ( 462 ) of properties that have decided not to participate to this promotion and most of these are in the United States. The list of non-participating international locations is short. Remember to book away from these properties carnival cruise lines if you can.

You can convert minimum of 10K (5K increments) Virgin Atlantic miles at a time to Hilton HHonors points.

Yes, as long as you are registered for the promotion prior to check-out of the stay and the reservation is for an eligible stay then, regardless of when a reservation was booked, any nights within the Promotion Period will receive the promotion bonus.

I had a question. I have to stay in Tallahassee 2 nights in January. Can I stay one night in one Tallahassee Hilton check out and then stay at another Hilton in Tallahassee the next night and receive 2 bonuses for miles? Thanks
Great blog! Question for you I stay at a Garden Inn property 1-2 nights every week at a rate of $109 and am Diamond status (although that might be resetting with the onset of the new year?). I currently double dip with American Airlines and HHonors points. The transferring of points from Virgin Atlantic back to HHonors carnival cruise lines is confusing to me. Is the maximum carnival cruise lines amount of transfer 10,000 TOTAL or just PER transfer? In other words, would you suggest just sticking with my current double dip option (AA and HHonors) or switching to Virgin Atlantic and transferring to HHonors points?
It depends what your goal is. If you prefer to maximize the number of Hilton HHonors points that you earn from your stays, you are most likely better off by double dipping with Virgin carnival cruise lines Atlantic and then converting those miles back to Hilton HHonors points.
thanks for the reply! I ultimately want to maximize both my miles and HHonors points. That is why I double carnival cruise lines dip with AA and HHonors points. I don t fly often, so I obtain my AA miles from my Hilton stays. I have about $20K AA points accumulated from my hotel stays alone. If I were to convert the VS miles to HHonors points, each stay would be worth 2,000 points. Versus if I were to double points by itself, each stay would only be worth how many points? That is where I m confused.
