Los Angeles As more information surfaces about improper property assessments by the L.A. County Assessor's Office, Councilman Dennis Zine and fellow Councilman Paul Krekorian introduced a Resolution at the Council meeting today calling on the County of Los Angeles to conduct an independent reassessment of all properties in question. A District Attorney's investigation is underway and serious allegations have been made about improper assessments in exchange for campaign contributions. Today's Resolution calls for a review of all properties that were reassessed downwards by 20 percent or more after Noguez took office, December 2010.
