Well, how handy is that? Alaska Airlines sends me a lovely email today (Travel car dollar lax rental Tuesday, in fact) with some pretty fine deals to our favorite southern California city of San Diego. Woe that we just got back.
How good are the deals? Check em out, HERE , and notice that the fares are, as always, hot, and will go quicker than you can say potato. So get cracking.  Anchorage to San Diego, Juneau to San Diego, and Ketchikan to San Diego. Ready, set, GO!
And why not? San Diego during the winter months is perfectly delightful, if I do say so myself. It s home to the multi-layered San Diego Zoo , full of interesting animals, birds, and tropical foliage. Located in beautiful Balboa Park, the zoo is a must-do when visiting San Diego.
San Diego is also where Alaska kids can view marine mammals and birds up close at  SeaWorld San Diego . A little showy, but definitely a place where Far North children can discuss with parents the mission and goals of aquariums these days; more from a role of conservation and education than merely for our amusement.
Our tips? Get there first thing in the morning (10 a.m.), and see the first shows of the day, when the animals car dollar lax rental are fresh and ready and enthusiastic. Take a ride on the river with Shipwreck Rapids , a wet and wild experience that AK Kid and the bigger car dollar lax rental boys enjoyed to the utmost. Smaller kiddos will enjoy the Sesame Street Bay of Play , an area full of places to climb, crawl, and run around, something we needed car dollar lax rental after a day with a 3 year-old in a stroller. We loved climbing the rope castle, the Elmo rides, and the festival air generated by parents who could finally release their little ones for a bit of playtime.
We stayed at the Residence Inn Gaslamp , and found the staff to be incredibly welcoming to AK Kid. Full breakfast, a small, but very nice swimming pool on the rooftop, and a little bar in the lobby made this a great overnight option for our family.
