The house was built in 1945 out of railroad ties from the old dismantled Chile Line that used to bring chili to Colorado. Proprietor, farmer, chef, dairymaid, and artist, Ms Meibao, has created a special down-to-earth sanctuary. She believes in walking softly on the earth, keeping chemicals out of her home. The linens are washed with scent-free, biodegradable detergent and then sun dried on the line. Rooms are cleaned with vinegar, soda, water and elbow grease. Organic shampoo and soaps grace the bathrooms.
