This year, we are celebrating The Queen s Diamond Jubilee as we commemorate her 60 years of tremendous service to this country. Throughout the weekend, there will be big lunch s held at many locations throughout the country. We ve seen this trend over the years in celebration of a number of royal events so why not carry on the tradition and arrange a lunch yourself? You can have any theme or food and invite whoever you like – it s a great excuse to get together with friends and family and enjoy yourself!
On Monday the 4 th of June, as well as being a Bank Holiday, A concert will be held in the grounds of Buckingham Palace and we have been informed that as well as being open to ticket holding members of the public, the event will be full of top stars. Don t worry if you don t have a ticket though, you can hear the live broadcast on BBC One and Radio 2 so you won t miss out!
Tuesday the 5 th of June has been allocated as a Special Bank Holiday and the celebrations continue as a service of thanksgiving will be held at St. Paul s Cathedral. The prayer to be used has been written at The Queen s direction especially for her Diamond Jubilee.
