Reservations are now being accepted for Whitney Peak Hotel , downtown Reno’s only non-gaming, non-smoking hotel that will open in May 2014 . The property will include 150 guest rooms; the nationally renowned BaseCamp climbing pet friendly hotels seattle gym; Cargo , a 1,100-person capacity concert venue; and a restaurant featuring locally inspired cuisine and unique cocktail selections.

The hotel began major demolitions and reconstruction in 2013.
