I have booked both ways. I prefer to book directly with Carnival, either online or with a Personal V

I would to begin preparations for booking our next cruise rental cars no minimum age los angeles california and was curious to other s experiences when booking with travel agent vs booking directly with the cruiseline. This is our first cruise and my husband booked it via a travel rental cars no minimum age los angeles california agent. The price we paid was somewhat lower than what the cruiseline quoted. However I am wondering if there are certain perks (credit for price drops, etc..) we are missing out on that we would be eligible for if we had booked with the cruiseline directly ??

We always use a TA. we get better deals and service. Our opinion. Due to handicap restrictions though, I have booked my last two cruises with an agent of the cruiseline, and then transferred the booking to my TA. This way my TA still gets the volume credit. We do benefit down the road, bottles of wine, fruit baskets, etc.

I have booked both ways. I prefer rental cars no minimum age los angeles california to book directly rental cars no minimum age los angeles california with Carnival, either online or with a Personal Vacation Planner (PVP). The advantage is dealing with Carnival direct, is you have more control. You can access your account-Manage My Cruise, and, check for price drops as much as you want. Some people check for price drops a few times a day. Depending on your Travel Agent (TA), she/he may or may not keep on top of things rental cars no minimum age los angeles california .

Though, for my next cruise, I was basically forced into using a PVP for the first time. I got a Carnival Gift Certificate as a gift, and Carnival doesn t allow such to be used on any cruise that s booked thru a TA (no idea why, other than to make it more difficult to redeem). The PVP was helpful and courteous, leaving me with no complaints. Though, without a Gift Certificate, I would certainly go back to using my TA.

Possibly it is just semantics, but I still end up paying rental cars no minimum age los angeles california a bit less when booking thru my TA. 4% less. Not a lot, but every bit saved is good, and there are no down sides (other than the Gift Certificate rental cars no minimum age los angeles california issue).

I like being in control of my plans myself..I would rather not have a 3rd party involved. I really don t find it necessary. Some people like their agents rental cars no minimum age los angeles california but I can sit on my computer and do research and pick up the phone and make calls myself. To each his own.

We always book through a TA. Several reasons, rental cars no minimum age los angeles california not the least because ours is such a great agent! Several advantages of a TA...they can find a cruise for you based on YOUR needs and wishes, and that includes sailings on numerous cruise lines, not just CRUISELINE A . Second, in spite of the no discount stated, yes, a TA CAN offer rates lower than Carnival rental cars no minimum age los angeles california (or the others) have posted, simply rental cars no minimum age los angeles california by booking you on an open group selection, where the TA has blocked rooms on specific sailings rental cars no minimum age los angeles california and ships. Third, the TA can offer you free gifts such as a bottle of wine, gift certificate, etc. The cruise line can ONLY deal with their specific rental cars no minimum age los angeles california ships, so you cannot compare Carnival vs RCCL, vs NCL, etc going through a Carnival PVP. AS for getting the ES rates, again, the TA can (and does) help in that as well. Now, please understand, there are good TA s, and bad ones. There are good PVP s, and bad ones. It is up to YOU to find what is best for you. Therefore, research PRIOR to booking. At the minimum, a TA should be a member of CLIA (a cruise line association), even better if the agent has their MCC (master cruise consultant) certification. Also, remember, Travelocity, Priceline, Orbitz, etc, are considered TA s, (although IMHO) not really worth of being call so They are merely the holders of record. That means, if you have a question, THEY must answer, the cruise line will NOT answer rental cars no minimum age los angeles california you. A good TA will have the answers. (so will the PVP, if you booked with the cruise line. Good luck

I like to book through the cruise line. I have done both but the cruise line won t talk to you if you booked through a travel agent. I like that they are open all the time on like a TA. I can check my booking rental cars no minimum age los angeles california on line and everything is there. If you go through a TA not everything is on line. If you see the price drop you can call the cruise line and get it fixed. I dont need to call a TA have them call carnival and then wait for a call back from TA. Its just easier going through carnival and the price is always the same.
