Kemp: I m a board op/producer/spare host at Sportsradio 1310 The Ticket. Kemp: Certainly, in hindsight, there have been some missteps. The Lamar Odom deal is still hanging over this club, due to the fact that they still owe OKC a first round pick to complete that deal. The area where I differ from most, without question, is the decision not to offer Tyson Chandler a long-term deal. It pains me that this has become such a point of contention, because I love Chandler, and I loved having him here. But if I m to think in terms of a five-year plan (which, for better or worse, is how I think about every transaction), I am 100% convinced that the plan they have gone with will yield a higher win total than the option of giving Chandler what the Knicks gave him. It s a really complicated situation, and one in which the organization was forced to choose the best of a few bad options. I could go on for hours about this, so I will spare you all that beating. Let me just say this: I think the team is better this year than it was last year, and I think it will be better next year than it is this year.
