I have installed new cruise wiring and replaced the servo. When I replaced the wiring, still no joy,

The cruise used to work but then stopped. I have tried putting in a known good amplifier/ECU under the dash at the drivers side but still nothing. I've got a replacement servo but I don't think this is the problem. I found that I can hear the servo clicking when the engine is idling if I push the cruise stalk. I think this is a bit strange but I tried unplugging it and plugged in another one (so it's just sitting there but not fitted to throttle) best hotel reservation deals and it acts the same way. The servo is under the inlet manifold on the 300, which is a pain compared to the V8s.
I had an fault on my E240 cruise. Droppped out of cruise best hotel reservation deals at around best hotel reservation deals 50mph which I thought was due to different sized front and rear wheels giving different wheel rpm front and rear and confusing the computer. On fitting new rear discs it worked fine ever since. Could it be a build up of debris on the disc serrations used by the sensor or the sensor irself?
I have installed new cruise wiring and replaced the servo. When I replaced the wiring, still no joy, but when I then replaced the servo, I got some action. I had left the old wiring in place, so I went back to the old one and found that it did not work. Possibly, there were problems with both. The new wiring harness is from a 420 so it is a bit short, since the servo sits in a different place.
The cruise control wires into the speedo just behind the instrument console. If you remove the console (take out kick panels and push it out from behind), you can see the speedo best hotel reservation deals has a green wire going to a plastic holder where a screw holds some wires together. One of the others (green) is for the cruise. best hotel reservation deals The other screw on this holder also connects to the cruise (I assume this is from the brake switch). So, these two wires go down towards the cruise amplifier. There are also a couple of ground wires (one clip). I think this is one of the many clips with brown ground wires that your can see bolted on nearby. Obviously, another part of the harness is the socket where the stalk plugs into (just beside the indicator stalk plug) and the plug that goes to the cruise amplifier (ECU). A bulk of wires goes through to the fuse box. One goes to fuse 6 for power. The rest go through and out the front and then to the socket for the servo.
