Let s take the furniture out and try again. The décor is so over the top, you can t see the house. The kitchen is so modern it s old. We get the house is big and there is a lot of land, more pics of the living space please.
Too bad they did not retain any of the original unpainted interior woodwork, especially in the entry and stair hall. In Saratoga you want a house like this to have the aroma of old money. This house is a hodgepodge of weird styles and will turn off many potential buyers. Not my taste at all.
I remember going to a pre-Travers cocktail party there years ago, just after Nancy and Gary moved in. The things that I still remember most about the house, that impressed me, were its large public rooms, how spacious the bedrooms were; which seemed to all have their own bathrooms, and that there was a full sized elevator in the house. But the number one thing, that was not shown in any of the photos, was the really wide upstairs hallway, I felt like I were in the White House.
This house is lovely; if I could afford it, I d love it. Forget a pool. Not everyone wants one. And the kitchen they didn t go far enough. Sub-zero fridge great. Stovetop lacking. For the entertaining possibilities in this house I d definitely want a commercial gas range + hood, and a more workable kitchen triangle, like easy access to the fridge from the gas range and sink(s).
