Earlier this month, CBS4 news partner The Miami Herald reported a poll by Florida International University pollster Dario Moreno which indicated nearly 73 percent of likely Miami-Dade voters were opposed to the tax-break plan. Norman Braman, a former owner of the Philadelphia Eagles who unsuccessfully sued to halt the Marlins deal, called the Dolphins bill corporate welfare.

The wanderlust bug bit me last week and I hired off to Atlanta without knowing anything about the city. I figured that my long experience in traveling around the globe will pull me through. After I flew in, I checked a car rental in Atlanta Airport and having taken public transportation in most of my travels, I thought that this time around, it would be different.
It was my first trip that I was truly convenient. I worked my own pace because I had my own ride. I didn't have to check bus and metro rail schedules. how to be a travel agent My Atlanta car rental even had its own navigation system, which was a bit of a surprise considering how to be a travel agent how cheap I paid for it for each day, even though I know pretty much where I wanted to go.
I had a blast visiting the landmarks of the city, from the Coca-Cola headquarters, the birthplace of Martin Luther King Jr., Turner Field (of Atlanta Braves), Georgia Aquarium, and the Centennial Olympic Park, among others.
Of course, there was that extra expenses about the gasoline but really, when I computed the expenses had I taken the taxicab all throughout my stay there compare to the economy car rental, I thought I conservatively saved about $200 and I'm not very good at math so it could be more.
As I dropped off the vehicle at the airport, I wondered: why didn't I think about doing this before? Next time around, I won't definitely be ignoring the signboard of a company how to be a travel agent car rental US at the airport.

My interest re-peaked when they headlined Glastonbury Festival this year. I read a review of it and
As a teenager, I was completely obsessed with the pop-punk genre of music; frequenting Warped Tour and sporting neon at all times. At the time, it was rather tragic. However, one summer while visiting my family futures golf tour in the UK, a young and exciting band was taking over the UK and telling everyone how good they would look on the dance floor. I was obsessed immediately. From the don't-give-a-fuck attitude to the almost unintelligible accent, Alex Turner was my hero, and the Arctic Monkeys quickly became my favorite band. They were different from anything I had ever listened to and I felt as if I had discovered my own personal secret band, as I was living in Canada at the time and they had barely touched North America at the time. I had their debut on repeat until Favourite Worst Nightmare came out and I was swept away by the matured, but always ridiculously fun sound that this band were sending my way.
However, things started to go wrong. They released their 3 rd album Humbug and while it was decent, it lacked the excitement and youth that the first 2 albums had. Alex Turner futures golf tour no longer seemed to want to make people dance and scream their lungs out and instead focused on a sort of stoner-rock genre that was almost boring. I was determined to give it a chance and listened to it so much that I ended up really liking it, albeit the major differences between the previous material. I moved to South Carolina a few months later and found out that Arctic Monkeys would be playing in Raleigh and quickly bought my ticket. I had never seen them live and knew I was going to be blown away. I was looking forward to seeing all of their songs played out in a live setting, futures golf tour even the less-exciting Humbug songs. While lining up for the show I was a giddy little girl and made sure that I had a front row spot.
Let's just say that after that show Arctic Monkeys were no longer my favorite band. They just didn't CARE. Alex Turner was bored the whole time. Maybe it was because they were much smaller in the US than the UK, or maybe he was slightly bored with Humbug like I was. Regardless, it was so underwhelming, disappointing, and everything like that. I moved on, got some new favorite bands, and barely even listened to their 4 th album Suck It And See. But then something amazing happened. R U Mine? was released as a random single sometime last year and it was the best song that Arctic Monkeys had written in YEARS. Still, I didn't listen to it that much because I was still a little sad about the Raleigh show. I shrugged it off as a fluke, and didn't see a good direction that they could go in. How dumb of me.
My interest re-peaked when they headlined Glastonbury Festival this year. I read a review of it and they said they were one of the best headliners that Glastonbury had ever had. I did not understand. They mentioned Alex Turner's commanding presence and suave disposition. "But," futures golf tour I said. "Alex Turner had none of this when I saw them. What are you talking about?" Then, they released the one-two punch of singles Do I Wanna Know? and Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High? and I cried with excitement. Then, their 5 th album, AM , came out, and I have literally been listening to it every day since it came out. It's sexy. It's debonair. It's intelligent. It's Arctic Monkeys. I was slowly being re-convinced that they had the features of a favorite band.
Two days of music bliss in a gorgeous park in Atlanta, Music Midtown is an absolute treat of the South. Unfortunately I was unable to attend Friday and missed out on Phoenix , 2 Chainz futures golf tour , Journey, and a few others. However, I was grateful to be there on Saturday, although futures golf tour the rain was pouring and the mud was forming. We arrived in time to catch the end of The Neighbourhood's set. They sounded pretty solid but made too many airhorn sounds. We grabbed some food and headed to get a spot for Weezer's set. Before their set, I did not realize how many of their songs I knew, but seriously, they have an insane amount of hits. I sung along to almost every song and got into the crowd when they decided to have a crazy, crowd-surf, bouncing party. Weezer were killer, even provoking a girl to show them her boobs and then just keep them out. The band were giggling like little girls. They played everything you would want from a festival Weezer set along with an encore, even though they weren't the headliners. Classic.
After Weezer we got up nice and close for the next band… Arctic Monkeys . I had no idea what to expect. I did not want to be disappointed but I could not imagine how a band could completely reimagine their live show in just a couple years. But let me tell you, they have. As soon as the band touched futures golf tour the stage it was obvious that it was going to be special. Alex Turner was immaculate. His new haircut is perfect, his pomade was glistening, and his James Bond suit was flawless. The rest of the band were dressed up, sans drummer Matt Helders who wore tracksuit pants and a t-shirt. Incredible. Helders' rabid drumming was solid and exciting throughout the set, along with the other members, but it was Turner that made it the spectacle that it was. It was the best set I saw at the festival and probably one of the best I have seen all year. I am fairly certain that Turner got some coaching for his stage presence in the past few years, maybe from his pal Josh Homme , since he literally made love to the crowd. He was a mixture futures golf tour of David Bowie, Elvis, and Alex Turner. He even had a comb that he pulled out to fix his hair every so often. It was SO HOT.
Every song sounded right. During the set I realized how relevant and important each Arctic Monkeys album has been, no matter how different or drastic than the one before it. They all made sense. My disappointed futures golf tour thoughts with Humbug turned into brilliant thoughts as I realized futures golf tour that Arctic Monkeys needed this turning point, in order to get to where they are right now. With Humbug they needed to mature themselves, futures golf tour even though it may have been a bit too much. With Suck It And See , they were turning those Humbug songs into something faster-paced and trying to strike a delicate balance between old and new. AM is where they completely hit their stride and figured out how to do it. The whole set I was aching (in both my heart and my loins) for the band to play cuts from their newest album and whenever they did, they completely took over the crowd. From Dancing Shoes to One For The Road , every song was perfect for this atmosphere and kept me captivated throughout. I found myself thinking, "well, it's probably time for a new favorite band anyway." It was massive and incredible and all I want to do now is see their show again. A lot better than the reaction I had to their last show. I plan to spend a few weeks listening to their back catalogue again and making my final decision on whether they should take the top spot in my heart. They probably should.
I squelched through the mud to Tegan Sara , who were loud, fantastic, and adorable. I would have rather seen them do their own show as when they do not have time restrictions they spent half of them bantering futures golf tour with the crowd and it's some pretty incredible banter. Everyone was singing along and they were grateful to be playing for us. The rest of our night was spent going from Yeah Yeah Yeahs to Queens of the Stone Age . Once again, I would have loved to see both of these bands do their own indoor headlining shows. There were just way too many people everywhere and I wasn't wearing my wellies so it was a bit gross. Both the bands were wonderful and we left the festival with smiles futures golf tour on our faces and mud in our teeth. Well, not really, but pretty much.
As you can probably tell, Arctic Monkeys were the highlight of the day and pretty much all I can think about. Music Midtown was fantastic to go to this year and as long as I stay around the south, I will continue going.
About the Author : Yes, I was named after famous british polar bear Rupert. In fact, I was named after a cat that was named after that cartoon bear. This is exactly the reason why I'd have to say an orange cat is my spirit animal. Though, it's kind of more like this cat is my spirit goddess. My spirit animal is a bit more like a grizzly duck, which is a grizzly bear with a duck's beak. Two reasons: 1) When I wake up I am angry and grumble a lot, like a grizzly bear but once I wake up I am (usually) friendly and I quack a lot, and 2) I own a sweater with a grizzly bear on it and one with a duck on it. I am obviously obsessed with music and everything to do with music. I have been to over 80 concerts, I am in a band called One Two Skidoo, and I also co-host a radio show of that same name on WUSC. I was born in a country called futures golf tour London (I would say England, but you Americans seem to be set on the fact that England is only London). I was actually born in Brighton, England, but I don't wanna confuse you too much so we'll say I'm from London. I then moved to a super freezing area of Canada. You're probably thinking "but all of Canada is super freezing!". That's not true. Well, kind of not true. I do that school thing at the University of South Carolina, and I write about music on this website, obviously. David Stringer is my hero. More from this author .

They just came in here and trashed the park, said Ian Keith, 43, who lives in Old Fourth exotic car rental san francisco Ward and rides his bike through Piedmont a couple of times a week. You have all of those people in that kind of venue, and you can t control the rain. It is muddy and stinking.
As is typical with events in Piedmont, the Conservancy has and will continue to offer counsel on best use and practices for staging events exotic car rental san francisco and repairs, the statement read. We are focused on the process of finalizing a remediation exotic car rental san francisco plan.
Thankfully, Music Midtown organizer Live Nation picks up the tab for the cleanup and park rehabilitation, like any host of a large-scale event there. But with Pride in less than three weeks, and AIDS Walk a week after that, is there enough time to heal the Meadow in time for the tens of thousands of Pride-goers preparing to swarm the park? Grand will add to his sexy with a little exotic car rental san francisco mud on him. But drag queens? No, ma am.

The pitter-patter of paws can be heard in over half of U.S. households, so it's no wonder that pet tourism and hospitality is on the rise. Hitting the road with your pup? We ve got expert advice on what to know:
Pups have their own special needs when it comes to travel and the right preparation can spell the difference between budget hotels in amsterdam a smooth trip and a meltdown. We talked to Dr. Amelia Khan of City Veterinary Care about anti-anxiety measures you can take before setting off:
Treats and pheromones such as D.A.P. collars and sprays placed in the carrier budget hotels in amsterdam may also help with anxiety budget hotels in amsterdam and make the crate a positive environment. If your pet gets car sick or is traveling in cargo, treats and food should be avoided.
Kenin and Lauren Bassart of The Constant Rambler have logged hundreds of miles exploring with their dogs, Punkin budget hotels in amsterdam and Zoe. They offered budget hotels in amsterdam some additional advice on what creature comforts to pack and what you can do to make your pooch feel more at home in a hotel room.
When traveling with your dog, it's important to bring a few things with you to make sure that they are just as comfortable in your hotel room as they are in their home. We normally pack a "doggy bag" with a few key items.
Make sure to bring their food and water bowls from home; changing their bowls can cause confusion. I also pack doggie-wet wipes to clean off their paws if they get dirty and bring a waterless shampoo or deodorizer if it's a longer trip.
Regarding actually traveling in the car with a dog we recommend a good crash tested harness from someone like Kurgo or Bergan . The ThunderShirt is a big help if your doggie gets anxious in the car. We also suggest taking your dog on some 30-60 minute car rides before actually embarking on an extended road trip. It s also important to stop every 2-3 hours for 10-15 minutes to let them run around, use the potty, take a break, and keep them hydrated. We found this awesome water bottle/bowl from H2o4K9 that does the trick for us.
In addition to taking anti-anxiety measures and making sure there is plenty of time if you have connecting flights, it is important to have an airline-approved carrier if your dog will be traveling with you in the cabin. budget hotels in amsterdam Teafco makes a number of carriers in different styles and colors (for style-conscious budget hotels in amsterdam humans) and JetBlue has even issued their own carrier, so you know you'll make it through security with ease.
In general, brachycephalic breeds [breeds with a flat skull shape who are prone to respiratory problems, like Pugs and Boston Terriers] should never travel budget hotels in amsterdam in cargo and many airlines have banned them from traveling. These breeds should either be driven or there are numerous pet friendly airlines. budget hotels in amsterdam These airlines provide climate and pressure controlled environment as well as frequent monitoring.

Love the article! We travel frequently with our two 75lb German shepherds and it s always a challenge to find places to stay. We are HUGE fans of the Kimpton hotel chain their hotels are each unique and range from modern trendy to historic formal. In all cases, they take our pets regardless of size and with no additional fees! We went to NY once for a wedding and the concierges even walked our pups while we were out again no charge and no one waiting around for a tip (though we sought them out to express our gratitude). Funny story they told us they went up to the room and opened the door our dogs bolted out into the hallway and ran up and down looking for us! A panic-inducing moment for them, though our GSDs are just big softies.

Last time, I did an entry about dogs on airplanes . I found out about how people can travel renaissance oklahoma city convention center hotel with their pet dogs (or other pets). Basically, the rules are you can keep your pet dog with you in the cabin if your dog is really tiny. Otherwise, the dog flies cargo.
But I did wonder about service dogs. Most service dogs are much larger than the tiny size limits the airlines impose for pets in the cabin. So are the rules for service dogs different? Can people take their service dogs on board? Or do size rules apply for service dogs, too?
Size rules do still apply, though. renaissance oklahoma city convention center hotel The rules are a little less stringent than the rules for pet dogs , but the animal has to be able to fit under the seat or at the animal owner's feet without obstructing an aisle or another passenger's space. If the service dog can't fit in the space available in the cabin, it has to travel in a carrier in cargo.
Some working animals are designated as Emotional Support Animals (ESA). These animals are there to help people who experience some kind of psychological or mental health distress. If you are traveling with an ESA, you will probably be asked to show proof (like a signed letter) renaissance oklahoma city convention center hotel that a licensed medical professional has said you need to have this dog with you.
Again, you'll need to have your animal on a leash or a harness, and the animal needs to be wearing some kind of identification saying this is a service animal. You should also tell the security renaissance oklahoma city convention center hotel officer that your dog is a service animal.
If you don't want to go through the metal detector you your dog don't have to. But you would in that event have to submit to a full pat-down. renaissance oklahoma city convention center hotel And the dog would still have to be "inspected." I think this means visually, and also a check of the garment the dog is wearing.
Kansas City. Hosta is still on his leash as he goes through the detector. She's actually training her dog to be a service dog, so she and several other handlers are taking their dogs to the airport for trial runs.
If your dog sets off an alarm and you don't, they'll separate you and the dog while they give the dog further screening. They won't take off the dog's harness/vest/backpack, but they'll search it to see what the dog might be carrying in there.
Seriously, though, I'm not sure what they do if they find, say, explosive material on the dog but not on you. Remove the explosive stuff, first of all. I guess they'd probably detain you and the dog until they found out who put the explosive stuff in your dog's pocket.
One final note on this topic: If you've gone through renaissance oklahoma city convention center hotel security and you go outside to let your dog, you know, do its doggy thing, when you come back inside, you and your dog will have to go through the TSA screening again.
While searching for information on this topic, I found a whole bunch of news articles about how the TSA is using dogs to screen passengers for bombs, guns, and any explosives. They're hoping the dogs will help to reduce the long lines of people waiting to go through metal detectors.
The passenger-screening dogs can detect a "vapor trail" of explosives, meaning they can detect a suicide bomb vest, a backpack containing explosives, or a firearm. When the trained dog detects renaissance oklahoma city convention center hotel an odor of explosives, the dog will sit next to where it found the scent.
renaissance oklahoma city convention center hotel In early July, they announced they're trying out the dogs in Honolulu, Tampa, Indianapolis, Chicago, renaissance oklahoma city convention center hotel Denver, and Washington Dulles. If all goes well there, they'll use more dogs in more airports. I think they must have since decided it's going all right, because that dog in the picture above was being used at the Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers.
The GAO (General Accounting Office) is skeptical about all this because according to their tests, the dogs weren't all that effective. renaissance oklahoma city convention center hotel They said the TSA wasn't meeting the requirement that the canine teams get 4 hours of training every 4 weeks, the TSA doesn't keep track of which dogs are best at finding which type of explosive material, and sometimes the dogs miss explosives or they say they've found something when there aren't any explosives present.
Apparently, also according to he GAO, the reason renaissance oklahoma city convention center hotel the dogs are being used on passengers at on some airports and not others is because officials at some airports have concerns about the "composition and capabilities" of the passenger-screening dogs, and they've said you can use the dogs on cargo at our airport, but not on people.
The TSA responded to that report by saying, we're going to do better about complying with training renaissance oklahoma city convention center hotel requirements, renaissance oklahoma city convention center hotel and we'll keep doing assessments of the passenger-screening dogs that are being used so we can see where we need to improve.
Further evidence that the TSA doesn't have this down quite yet: in May, one TSA bomb-sniffing dog in Atlanta bit a passenger in the stomach. The woman took a picture of the bite , and it looks pretty bad, actually. The wound has now healed, the woman got a bunch of rabies shots, but she needn't have because the dog had been up to date on its rabies vaccine.
Now, here's another question: what happens when a TSA bomb-sniffing dog meets a service dog? And what if the service dog is carrying explosives? One hopes that it would all go well from a dog-civility standpoint. But is this a scenario the TSA are trained to handle?

This is a post by guest author Carol Martin car rentals in denver of Sit n Stay Global, LLC . Carol was asked to contribute to our business aviation blog because of her experience and expertise car rentals in denver in the corporate flight attendant profession. Any thoughts expressed below are entirely Carol s and do not necessarily reflect the views of Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc.
Flying on a private jet bears very little resemblance to flying commercial. That s precisely what everyone really likes about private travel. Very often you drive right up to your aircraft, step inside, they close the door behind you, and you leave. car rentals in denver You eat exactly what you want, when you want it, and everyone is genuinely glad to see you. You come and go on your schedule, not someone else s. You fly largely undisturbed, yet someone is always at your beck and call. You can drive directly to the jet and you can eat what you want. Yes, that epitomizes travel as it was meant to be.
Since private jet travel is (thankfully) quite different from commercial air travel, sometimes a few awkward situations may arise for new aircraft owners or, more frequently, those stepping up to the inner circle of a corporation that flies on the jet. Consider the following issues before travel on your private jet to make those first trips a little smoother and more comfortable for everyone on board:
Always pack your passport. Make sure it has not expired, or will not expire during the trip. Some countries require at least six months validity. If you are going to a country that requires a visa, be sure to have the correct visa. Even if you don t anticipate traveling out of the country, pack your passport as plans may change very quickly when traveling. Not having a passport could prevent your entire group from entering a country. A lack of proper documents can result car rentals in denver in fines, jail or even deportation. Also, please note that passports shouldn t be stamped in every country you visit, as some countries will not allow you to enter if it shows you visited certain other countries. For example, some Middle car rentals in denver Eastern countries will bar your entry if you have an Israeli stamp.
Regarding documentation, it is important to remember that when you are planning a trip with a pet to a foreign country (or even Hawaii), there are entry requirements for pets, too. Those requirements vary from country to country and usually fall under agriculture regulations. Your vet often has that information, as well as the correct documents. Some countries don t allow pets to deplane from a private jet unless the jet has a special agreement with the country (Scotland comes to mind), so be aware of those rules. Be aware that if a country does not allow your pet to deplane, his or her paws may not touch the tarmac even for a relief break. Penalties may include fines, quarantine or even death of the animal. Also, many of the immunization requirements car rentals in denver have a six-month lead time, so planning is key. Failure to have correct documentation can turn an entire aircraft around, so be sure to get it right before you leave. For more information on documentation, see my article titled Practical Considerations When the Fur Flies: Flying with Pets in Business Aviation .
If you are traveling on a business trip for the first time with a group, there is often an unspoken seating hierarchy. If you can t get with a trusted colleague and find out where you should sit (reads: where the principal likes to sit) then just hang back and board last. Just like a conference car rentals in denver room, everyone has his or her favorite spot, and you don t want to be in your boss s seat for the next four hours.
Yes, of course. I would be happy to, but where? There are no overhead bins and no seat in front of you, so think about what you need with you in the cabin for the flight. Pack one small carry-on with essentials and work for the flight and allow the rest to go to the back in baggage. You can tuck that bag behind your seat to keep it out of the way. Keep in mind there won t be any baggage claim issues or delays. There are also pillows, blankets, car rentals in denver snacks, and other amenities on board to keep you comfortable, car rentals in denver so there s very little you need to bring with you, unlike on a commercial flight.
When it comes to food on a private jet, the sky is truly the limit. You can order food from your favorite restaurant or from world-famous caterers or chefs in every city you visit. You can even have an onboard chef. It seems most clients want great food at a great value. In that case, don t overlook the corporate flight attendant. A trained, professional flight attendant has expert culinary car rentals in denver skills. Why is that important? If you order food from your favorite restaurant in Chicago, and it is delivered in containers and you set it out for your clients in bowls, you can waste a great deal of your investment car rentals in denver on poor presentation. A properly trained corporate flight attendant can re-create the presentation you would see in that restaurant. You can also save money by having a corporate flight attendant trained with culinary skills shop a gourmet market for ingredients and then use them to prepare fresh meals on the aircraft. The taste will be superb, and the cost will be a fraction of what you would spend to have the flight catered. car rentals in denver Of course, when you have a quick turn or travel where shopping and restaurants won t work, then knowing the best caterers is a must. Once again, a well-connected corporate flight attendant knows the best in each city.
Welcome to the world of private jet travel. It really is so civilized and makes so much sense. If you already know all of these little details, please do a colleague a favor and forward this article. Then, just sit back, relax and truly enjoy your next flight. This is air travel as it was meant to be.
