As a big fan of both The Beatles and Oasis , I have put together a list of Oasis songs that have references to Beatles songs, lyrics, titles, etc. Without being to vague (like Oasis used the word love and so did the Beatles )
On a side note: There are several obscure reference in this song to several John Lennon songs. Also, the song ends with the lyric Not until your war s won which i think is a reference to the movie How I Won The War (1967) starring John Lennon .
I m Outta Time Actually has a John Lennon interview voice over it says As Churchill said, it s every Englishman s inalienable right to live where the hell he likes. What s it going to do, vanish? Is it not going to be there when I get back?

Oasis are obviously golf travel case a great band and some of these comparisons on here are just stupid! golf travel case If you sing a word or a line from another song then that is just a matter of statistical fact seeing as you could put almost any line from any song and compare it to another! This is rather lazy comparisons in my opinion! I am a fan of both groups so its not bias but I do think your a fool! As music goes, I don t think you understand it and certainly not song writing! When you create a song that gets in the top 10 without using any words or lines that are similar to others then come back and rewrite your thoughts but you never will, I will let you reuse the words and , to and the but if you copy any other words then you are a hypocrite!
Be Here Now is itself the title of a George Harrison song from the album Living In The Material World . All the Beatles references/rip offs really prevented me from thinking of Oasis as anything but posers. Of course their own antics (especially Liam s) didn t help much.
