That s how Alan and I felt when we stayed at The Wickaninnish Inn in Tofino on a May road trip to Vancouver Island . The view from our Beach Deluxe Room in the On-the-Beach building overlooking Chesterman Beach and the Pacific Ocean made us feel as if we were staying in a treetop perch with a ringside seat of surf and sand.
The Wickaninnish Inn is comprised of two buildings—On the Beach and At the Pointe. Suzanne, the staff assured is it s not that hard to get to Tofino in the winter. We can drive (and hope it s not very snowy) or even fly into the very small airport in Tofino. Time will tell how this all works out. It does sound tempting though.
We are visiting Tofino this September. We are doing a 3-month American Safari and BC is the last leg (we are leaving for the trip in two weeks, going from NC to BC, visiting Manitoba and Yellowstone along the way).
