Not only did The Husband and I have our April Date of the Month Club date, we also had our yearly visit to the Disneyland Hotel for their Mother s Day Royal Buffet, which I have to say, is becoming one of my favorite traditions.
We discovered the Disneyland Hotel s Mother s Day celebration a few years ago, and even though it is a bit expensive at $70 a pop, it really is worth every penny.  We do get a small annual passholder discount, which makes it just a little bit better but as with everything, Disney goes all out and spares no expense, star alliance around the world tickets which makes the whole experience just fantastic.

Inside, the ballroom was decorated beautifully, with flowered arches, drapery, hanging cherry blossom trees, projections of princesses and other Disney characters, and even castles, wishing wells, and cottages.  Our server greeted us with our official Royal Buffet button (which is different every year and quite a nice collectible), which featured the Disney princesses.  The server also offered everyone star alliance around the world tickets a glass of champagne and their choice of whatever else they d like to drink coffee, tea, soda whatever!
The main course buffet had every type of food you can imagine chicken, fish, a prime rib cutting station, several types of salad, several types of pasta, even an Asian fusion section complete with mini takeout containers, a dim sum server, star alliance around the world tickets and your choice of sauce as well as a MAJOR cheese tasting station (with freshly cut from the wheel and warmed up brie spread on toast) and an entire breakfast section that I didn t even touch (waffles, sausage, bacon, eggs the WORKS!).
Then there was the dessert table it was like heaven on Earth.  This year s featured included individual lemon meringue star alliance around the world tickets pies, homemade cherry, apple, and blueberry pie a la mode (made for you on the spot!), tasting flights of individual s mores, peach-blueberry parfaits, and strawberry tarts; chocolate and vanilla cake pops; mini red velvet and strawberry cupcakes; and a chocolate fountain with endless choices for dippers shortbread cookies, rice krispie treats, strawberries, marshmallows, and coconut macaroons (my absolute favorite!).
As if all that wasn t enough, the room was surrounded by Disney characters just waiting to take photos with guests.  All the official Disney princesses star alliance around the world tickets took turns coming out to take photos Cinderella, Tiana, Belle, Snow White, even Rapunzel as well as classic Disney characters like Chip n Dale, Donald, Daisy, and you guessed it Mickey and Minnie! There were even little photography sets for each character Snow White s wishing well, a castle for Rapunzel and Belle, Tiana s Louisiana bayou, and Cinderella s pumpkin carriage.  The classic characters posed in front of a miniature Disneyland castle that I just loved.

She is always very anxious about eating in public places because of her special dietary needs.  When we informed the Disney staff, they were more than accommodating   One of the main chefs, Mhike, came out to speak with her about her allergies and about the menu that day.  Not only that, he took her on a personal guided tour of the buffet table to point out the dishes she would be able to eat, and then went one step further he personally plated and served her dishes star alliance around the world tickets straight star alliance around the world tickets from the kitchen to guarantee that her food would not be contaminated! Spending the day at the Royal Buffet was a memorable experience.  My mom had an amazing time she smiled from ear to ear the whole time.  I m so grateful star alliance around the world tickets that we were able to spend this time together doing something she really loved.
