Through December 31, for example, Air China will fly you San Francisco-Beijing round trip for $3,750, compared with a regular payless car and van rental fare of $6,660. Through March 31, China Airlines ' round-trip fare from Los Angeles to Taipei drops to $4,087 (from $5,307).
