Boat drill was cold and rainy ..this is NOT Miami! It will start warming up as summer comes, but it'

Although it was rainy and cold all day, today was so wonderful! I drove out to Washington D.C. to see Cason's parents Carol and Anthony. It was so refreshing to see them and so nice to know I have a home away from home here. Although the ship life seems exotic and glamorous, it gets quite lonely and just being able to get away to s real home with couches and a kitchen country inns suites is so uplifting. It sounds strange I know, but it's true! They are two of the best people I know, and I can't wait to spend another Sunday with them soon.
After coming back from Falls Church I stopped at a restaurant called the Green Turtle for a few minutes just to say hi to a group who were celebrating one of the dancer's country inns suites birthdays. Then I made a trip to Harris Teeter (grocery store) to pick up a few things, although I don't have a fridge yet so I had to pass on a lot of what I wanted to get. Oh well, I'll have one in a week when I move into my permanent cabin.
Boat drill was cold and rainy ..this is NOT Miami! It will start warming up as summer comes, but it's just unpredictable at the moment; last week it was 80 degrees! Hopefully next week I can put the top down on my convertible again.
We had some mic time after boat drill and we sang through Vroom. I'm excited for that show; it's definitely more up my alley than Jazzin' is. We had our costume fitting after mic time, and I get to wear some pretty interesting stuff! I'll have to put up some pictures rather than try to explain; it's so much better just to see it!
After watching Welcome Aboard country inns suites show we went to the bar to celebrate the same dancer's country inns suites birthday, only to find that there was a loading mix-up and there is NO BEER and VERY LIMITED WINE for the crew this cruise. We basically bought out all the bottle of wine they had to bring to our rooms to stock up for the cruise, and we'll go up to the gift shop to buy bottle country inns suites of liquor for Friday after we open Vroom. There was also supposed to be a big chocolate party on Tuesday night as one of the crew activities, but apparently none of the stuff for it got on board either, so it's been cancelled. Shoot! Ah well, at least we're going to Bermuda for 3 days this cruise; looking forward to that even though we'll be rehearsing. Well off to bed, long week ahead. Love to all.
I never would have dreamed I would have the opportunity to star in a show, to sing AND dance, all while visiting incredible destinations filled with unbelievable beauty and culture. If there is something you want to do, there is a way to get paid for it! But I also never dreamed that I would have to spend so much time away from my friends country inns suites and family, so here is something to keep us just a little bit closer.
