I went out, reporting the issue to reception and pondered on it as I walked down the strip. Later on

I was on the 19th floor which in principle is great because you get great views of the atrium. However, the room I was at was at the opposite diagonal side of elevators. Not a happy bunny. Although it does fit in to my theory that Las Vegas exists to exercise when not partying.
I actually wanted to get some stuff done before heading out to the strip so I checked out the Internet access. And we now head into joke territory with this hotel. Firstly, tour master motorhome WiFi is only in the public areas (although free to access), tour master motorhome and the wired access tour master motorhome simply didn t work at all.
I went out, reporting the issue to reception and pondered on it as I walked down the strip. Later on, when I got back the cable modem had been switched on, but could my laptop pick up an IP addresses that made any sense (it was picking up an internal 169.254.0.0 address I tried a few of tricks, but I couldn t get an external IP facing address that worked).
Overall: I don t do this at all normally, but I m making an exception to my normal trip reports here. The lack of Internet access, the room stinking of old smoke, and the lack of care in the hotel, and can be summed up in one single word:
